Rick Garvin, Managing Director
Rick is a Senior Technology Consultant and the Managing Director of Ten Mile Square. He focuses on product development remediation for growth oriented technology companies as well as enterprise architecture and content management for media companies. He also manages the day-to-day operations of Ten Mile Square. Rick holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

Alden Hart, CTO
Alden has more than 25 years experience in technology development where he has designed and developed telecommunications, transaction processing, financial services, avionics and other real-time and mission critical systems. He focuses on early stage technology firms and national level clients who need to make decisions regarding new technology products, business models and investments. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University.

Rob Ries, Sr. System Architect
Rob has more than 20 years experience as a system architect designing, developing, and deploying computer applications. He spends the bulk of his time with FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) where he provides process and system expertise, hands on execution on several projects, and manages the Ten Mile Square relation with that customer. He has also led several due diligence/technology review engagements. Rob's work history includes successful runs with the Federal Judicial Center, CCI, The Delegation of the Commission of the European Union, the adrenaline group, and Chessiecap, Inc. He can often be found paddling the most excellent whitewater just beyond the Ten Mile Square square. He graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia in 1983 with a BA.

Bill Lenoir, Sr. User Experience Architect
Bill has spent a decade and a half on user experience design and management, interface design and development, and information architecture. He focuses on problems where the man-machine dialogue is dysfunctional or unclear. Bill has worked with small internet start-ups as well as large, established organizations such as Scripps Networks and FINRA. He is also known as a board game geek. He has a BA from American University in International Studies and also conducted post-graduate work there in International Economics.

Ho Ro, System Architect
Ho has more than 10 years experience engineering, developing, managing systems and projects. He currently manages projects at FINRA where he provides guidance on project delivery practices. Ho has worked with SiteSmith/MFN, TeleComputing, and UUNET. He is known for extreme golf and riding centuries on his bike. He has BS in Computer Information Systems from American University.

Paul Bennett, Sr. Software Developer
Paul has more than 10 years experience as a Java software developer. He focuses on high volume public web applications and their supporting batch processes for enterprise customers. Paul has worked with FINRA and Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive. His main diversion is practicing jazz keyboard. He has a B.A. from Harvard in Psychology, a Masters from Princeton in Public Affairs, and a Ph.D. from Columbia in Political Science.

Jay Gelman, Sr. Software Developer
Jay has more than 10 years of experience as a software designer and developer. He has led successful efforts that range from integrating multiple back-end systems for large corporations to building external-facing web applications for small start-ups. Before joining Ten Mile Square, Jay worked with MIT Lincoln Labs, the Adrenaline Group, and Triumph Learning. Jay holds a BS in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University. Jay's committment to adventure spans everything from kayaking in rural Mexico to eating fried scorpions in Beijing's night market.

Eric Melin, Sr. Software Developer
Eric has 10 years of experience as a software designer, developer, and team lead. He focuses on new product development constrained by real-time requirements and high volume computation. Eric has worked with FINRA, Capital Markets Consulting, OPNET Technologies, the Adrenaline Group, and SALIX Technologies. He is known to enjoy numerous outdoor activities (skiing, hiking, biking) and relax playing guitar and saxophone. Eric has a MEng in Computer Science and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

Blair Beavers, Sr. Creative Consultant
Blair has more than 15 years experience as a designer and creative director. He focuses on customers who need graphic solutions for their marketing and branding needs. Blair has worked with clients such as LimitedBrands, Bath & Body Works, and Nationwide Insurance. He is a fine artist who has had gallery shows across the country. He is also a cycling fanatic. Blair holds a Bachelor of Art in Design from Brigham Young University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the University of Cincinnati.
