Ten Mile Square Technologies is looking for qualified candidates for a Senior Microsoft Developer position. The successful candidate will be a passionate software developer with a proven track record building highly scalable Internet-based products using product development best practices. You will be responsible for driving the rapid evolution of 10m2's customers' software-based products through the application of agile methods.
This position requires the staff member to be located in the metro Washington DC area.
Required Skills
- 6+ years total relevant experience:
- Hard-core software development
- Building products that get deployed and scale
- Expert software developer
- 4+ years of hands-on experience within the Microsoft application environment
- Experience with:
- Building successful software-based products as part of a small effective team
- .NET Framework - C#.NET, VB.NET ASP.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server
- Microsoft application architectures - ASP, VB, SQL Server
- Microsoft IIS Configuration and Administration
- Agile methodologies - nightly builds, automated unit tests
- Design patterns
- Web services, SOAP, HTTP/XML
- Incremental refactoring
- Technology migration
- Peer review
- Excellent individual performer who rapidly and reliably completes tasks
- Good communication and writing skills
Education:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
Responsibilities
- Build great software-based products
- Senior developer on product releases
- Work with the software development manager to create milestone-based development plans
- Break milestones into tasks
- Level-of-effort analysis on tasks
- Enthusiastically enforce software development best practices
- Participate in the peer review process
- Work with Quality Assurance to build interfaces for driving automated capacity, performance and functional tests
- Troubleshooting
